The Chesapeake Boathouse is the first structure to grace the banks of the newly revitalized Oklahoma River in downtown Oklahoma City. Hailed by many as a landmark presence along the river, the design is the vision of Oklahoma City architect Rand Elliott with primary funding for the project provided by Chesapeake Energy Corporation. The design of the Chesapeake Boathouse represents a sleek rowing shell with translucent polycarbonate walls providing a dramatic nighttime image of the building “floating” above the river. Sixteen columns of light representing oars highlight the reflecting pool at the "bow" of the building.

Shred Ready is more than a helmet company; it is a philosophy for everything we do here in our factory and warehouse (which used to be the local feed and seed store). The kayaks are on top of all of the cars out front, just in case the power company decides to turn the water on. Founded in 1880, this marks the third century that the ACA has actively promoted paddlesports across the U.S., providing programs and services to its members and the American public. The ACA is uniquely qualified to help individuals and organizations understand how paddlesport can contribute to the quality of life through enabling safe and positive paddling experiences. It is the objective of the ACA to be the recognized, primary resource to individuals, organizations, agencies and regulators for information and guidance on all aspects of paddling.

The CRSC is a non-profit organization, founded and formed in 1994 by Mayor Richard Vinroot. The Charlotte Sports Commission's purpose is to bring sporting events to Charlotte which benefit the region in two major areas: economic impact and quality of life. Additionally we help in attracting conferences, sports organizations and teams to our market.

As an official Olympic Training Site, the U.S. National Whitewater Center (USNWC) provides a world class whitewater channel system in an urban setting, allowing athletes to train and compete while still having the opportunity to work or attend school locally.

In addition to Youth Development Programs and Kayak Instruction, the USNWC is an ideal place for elite and aspiring athletes to train. The USNWC provides public water throughout a majority of the year; with late summer through early winter and early spring through early summer being the best times to train. Peak season for commercial activities at the USNWC is during high summer when most of the athletes are in Europe racing on the World Cup Circuit.

Throughout the year, the USNWC provides exclusive (no commercial activities on channels) slalom training sessions and slalom races.
