Kayakers will be on the water doing demonstrations on how to properly paddle and roll.
Those who attend the event will have the limited opportunity to join USA Canoe/Kayak for free.
This celebration is in collaboration with cities across the country at the urging of Chicago Mayor Richard Daley as a collective pledge of support for hosting the Olympic Games in Chicago in 2016. This cooperative celebration amongst
cities around the country will send a clear message to the International Olympic Committe that Charlotte and the United States of America support the Chicago 2016 bid for the Olympic Games.
All residents of the greater Charlotte area are encouraged to participate in the celebration at the USNWC on June 27th and to wear red, white and blue to show support for Olympic Day and Chicago2016.
