Women's K4 Fundraiser!
Gerald Babao July 20, 2010
USA Canoe/Kayak's Womens Sprint K4 team consisting of Carrie Johnson, Ariel Farrar-Wellman, Emily Vinson and Maggie Hogan is holding a fundraiser on Wednesday, July 28 at the Red Circle in downtown San Diego! The Red Circle holds up to 300 people and the goal is to fill it to capacity. The K4 team is raising money to cover the costs of competing, both internationally and nationally, this year.
Click here to view event flyer.
The event is asking for a $20 donation/cover at the door which will include appetizers and one (1) drink from our sponsored bar. (Minors are allowed until 10pm.) In addition, we also be conducting a silent auction.
Meanwhile, if you can not make it to the fundraiser, you can still make a donation at the USA Canoe/Kayak website. To make an online donation:
- Go to www.usack.org
- Click on the 'Donate' button
- Choose "USA Women's K4 - Sprint" under Donation Description
Looking past this summer, the K4 team has huge aspirations. With a portion of the money we raise from the July 28 fundraiser, the K4 team will be more involved with our juniors, offering clinics and increasing the prize base for the junior K4 races at the upcoming 2010 Sprint Nationals. We are really excited about this effort and have since been working hard to make this reality.
Please know that your support is not only offsetting our 2010 competition travel costs but also helping with grassroots paddling efforts! So, please attend the K4 Fundraiser or donate on USA Canoe/Kayak's website today!
THANK YOU!
Sincerely,
Carrie, Ariel, Emily & Maggie
