August 27, 2010 to August 29, 2010 - Hungary
The competition programme includes 27 events of the regular Dragonboat Sprint World Championships programme in 20-seater boat.
Course
The Újpesti-öböl is a natural bay of the Danube river which was used primarily as the winter harbour of tugboats, passenger ships and other huge vessels cause it is well sheltered from winds and all kinds of hydro-dynamism. The regatta course is 500 meters long and laid out on six lanes with the width of 9 meters each. There will be electric time keeping with photo finish camera and video recording. Pontoons will be used for the start.
Entries
The Organising Committee would like to encourage every participant to use our online entry system. Each National Federation must have received their login codes for sprint events in previous years but we are going to send similar codes out again during the summer dedicated for dragonboats. Unfortunately this online entry system does not replace the "old ways" of submitting entries yet hence you are asked to send us the filled out forms the usual way.
Regatta Course
The 2,400-metre long, 122-metre wide regatta course is located a few kilometres south of Szeged. Being an artificial course, hydro-dynamism is not a question here as it is quite well sheltered from hard winds. It is equipped with Albano system and has nine lanes along with a separate warm-up line. There is electronic time keeping with photo finish camera and video recording. Automatic starting system is used for the start. The facility fully meets the ICF requirements.Preliminary Entry/Hotel Reservation: until 23rd of April, 2010
