K1/K2/ C1/C2 33 mile marathon race prize money in excess of $40,000.
The shared goal of the Texas Canoe Racing Association and the Mexican Canoe Federation is to promote canoe racing and environmental stewardship on the Rio Grande through fair competition between athletes of both nations over a marked course. These rules are proposed in the knowledge that canoe and kayak racing follows different formats in both countries, and that competition on the river that they share represents the best possible venue for exchanging and promoting ideas for using the sport to improve quality of life for all who live on either shore
