Race Info

ATHLETE CHECK-IN

All athletes are required to check-in. The check-in will take place on the morning of April 1, 2010.

BOAT CONTROL

Boat control equipment will be available to the athletes on Wednesday, March 31, 2010.

After athlete check-in on Thursday, boats will be inspected. Boats will be checked for weight, length, width, and the nose and tail dimensions. Life vests will be checked to ensure 6kg of up thrust in water. Helmets must meet ICF requirements.

TIMING AND SCORING

Timing is to the 100th second. Timing will be electronic with handheld backup.

COURSE CONFIGURATION

The course configuration has been agreed between the organizing committee, and USNWC.

The channel configuration will be maintained for the competition from March 28-April 3, 2010.

START AND FINISH

Signs will denote the Start and Finish on the Thursday prior to the Demonstration Runs.

START INTERVAL

C-2M and C-1W will have a 120 second start interval. K-1W, C-1M and K-1M will have a 60 second start interval between each athlete

5 minutes between classes

A 30-minute break between Qualification runs on Friday and a 45-minute break between Semi-Finals and Finals on Saturday

RESULTS

Provisional results will be published and posted at the event office and the protest office. Official results will be posted HERE.

TEAM LEADER INQUIRY, PROTEST

Although this is a C competition, athletes are encouraged to nominate a team leader to submit inquires and protests. Team leaders will be acknowledged during the athlete meeting.

GENERAL SAFETY

Two boats are to stay on the water after the finish.

DOPING CONTROL

In line with the World Anti-Doping Authority (WADA) and the ICF doping control rules, the United States Anti-Doping Authority (USADA) may conduct random drug testing at this competition.
