RULES

The competitions will be run in accordance with the current International Canoe Federation (ICF) Rules.

RACE FORMAT

The race is open to all competitors on Friday. Only athletes nominated by their Federation will progress to the semifinals and the finals on Saturday

COMPETITION FORMAT

  • Top 40 boats in K1M
  • Top 30 boats in K1W
  • Top 30 boats in C1M
  • Top 20 boats in C1W
  • Top 20 boats in C2M

Will progress to the Semi-Finals on April 3, 2010

PARTICIPATION

Athletes that are not nominated by their Federation can compete in a two (2) run invitational race on Friday (April 2, 2010). Results will be posted for these competitors after the completion of the competition. Only athletes nominated by their federation to compete in the ICF Rankings race will compete in the semifinals and finals on Saturday.

ACCREDITATION FEE

The entry fee is $60 USD per person. REGISTER HERE! The entry fee includes official training time, event t-shirt and athlete hospitality.

WORLD RANKINGS

If you are competing for ICF Rankings, please contact your Federation for information. Only athletes who are registered through their Federation will be recognized for ICF Rankings (Please note: only six (6) boats per class per Federation will be eligible for ICF Ranking).

The ICF requires Federations to enter their athletes for ICF Rankings. Please click HERE.

Deadline for entry into the ICF Rankings is March 22, 2010.

Please note that qualified athletes that are nominated by their Federation for ICF Rankings will still have to register for the race HERE.
