The deadline to register for the 2009 Pan American Championships has been extended to July 10th.
Event Classes: K1 , C1 , C2
Events: Slalom, Classic Downriver, Sprint Downriver
Race Fee: $110 CDN + $20 for one additional class

A t-shirt and banquet ticket is free for all competitors registering on or before JULY 10th.
For competitors registering after July 10:
Banquet tickets may be purchased online for $30
T-shirts can be purchased at the event, based on availability
After July 27 the race registration fee is $130 (no banquet ticket or t-shirt), $30 for 1 additional class
No registrations accepted after July 30 at 4:00 pm
Monday lunch provided for all competitors
Medals provided for all classes

The Venue - Kananaskis River @ Canoe Meadows
Crystal clear, dam controlled Rocky Mountain river, with classic eddies and good gradient
3 Full length slalom race courses
Deep water with newly designed (2008) artificially enhanced Class 2 to 3+ features (more on the Kananaskis River upgrades)
Excellent spectator viewing of the race course
Excellent freestyle playspots on the Kananaskis River

1 hour's drive from Calgary International Airport (YYC)
Directions to Canoe Meadows:
From Calgary (the east)
Drivers should depart Calgary, heading towards the mountains on the Trans Canada HWY (#1). Exit onto Highway 40 and head south (turn left at the stop), for approximately 7 km. Watch for the Canoe Meadows sign on the west (right) side of the road. The group camping site entrance is at the back end of Canoe Meadows parking lot. Note: If you pass the Visitor’s Centre you have gone too far down Hwy 40.
From Banff / Canmore (the west)
Head east from Canmore, towards Calgary on the Trans Canada HWY (#1), exit onto Highway 40 and head south (turn right at the stop), and follows the instruction above.
