Eligibility
- USA CANOE KAYAK Sprint National Championships and Masters National Championships are open to international athletes.
- All USA CANOE KAYAK members, current as of August 1, 2009, who are US citizens, US permanent residents or holders of current US work visas are eligible to compete for national points, medals and awards.
- International Participants may enter but shall be subject to the progression rules for International Competitors. International Participants are NOT eligible for the 200M Knockout. The Knockout is a US only event for Seniors. International Participants shall be seeded evenly and compete in the inside lanes for the heats.
- Only two International Participants may qualify for a final. If more than two International Participants qualify for a final, priority will be given to the qualifiers by time. The top two International Competitors will compete in lanes 0 and 10 in the finals, unless there is not a full US 9 boat final. In that case, International Athletes will compete in the 9 boat final.
- Athletes must update their USA Canoe Kayak membership prior to registration to be eligible to compete – US athletes must have current USA CANOE KAYAK membership as of August 1, 2009. Entry forms; waivers and all fees must be received in order to compete.
