Cedric Bond

  • MK2 at the 2009 ICF Junior Sprint World Championships

Cedric, a junior at Covenant High, is the nation’s No.1 – ranked junior flatwater sprint kayaker after winning all four events he entered – the 500- and 1,000-meter solo races and two-man events (with Luke Potts of Lanier, Ga.) – at the junior world trials in Chula Vista, Calif. He will represent the U.S. at the junior world championships in Moscow.

As a juvenile athlete Mr. Bond has successfully earned a berth on the 2007, 2008 & 2009 USA Canoe/Kayak Junior National Sprint Team. Thus, he has represented the USA at various events such as the Canada Day Regatta, Lake Placid Invitational and the Junior World Sprint Championships in the Czech Republic.
